Privacy Statement

Warily is designed to be a safe, low-friction learning space. We collect as little information as possible and handle it in a way that respects your privacy and complies with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What We Store

To make Warily function smoothly, certain information is saved directly in your browser on your device. This may include:

  • your progress in modules or quizzes
  • your learning preferences
  • any selections you make while using the site

This information stays on your device only. It is not transmitted to our servers unless you choose to use a feature that requires it.

Anonymous Usage Data

To understand how people use Warily and where we can improve, we collect a small amount of non-identifiable analytics data. This may include:

  • which pages are visited
  • which buttons or features are used
  • general interaction patterns

This data is aggregated, cannot be linked to you, and is used solely to improve the platform. We do not sell or share this information.

Accounts and Sign In

You can read all core Warily content without creating an account. Signing in is optional and only needed for restricted briefings and tools.

If you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and organization name. If you sign in with Google instead, we receive your name and email address from Google. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are never visible to us or stored in readable form.

This information is used to verify who you are, give you access to the right material, and keep the platform secure. You can ask us to delete your account and the information attached to it at any time.

Supporter Store, Shopify, and Printful

Our supporter store is powered by Shopify. Product listings and prices are loaded from Shopify, and any purchase is completed through Shopify's secure checkout.

  • Warily never collects, sees, or stores credit card numbers or banking details. Payments are handled entirely by Shopify and its payment processors.
  • Order details, including the recipient name, shipping address, and a contact phone number when a courier requires one, are shared with Printful, our print on demand partner, only to produce and ship the item.
  • Shopify's and Printful's own privacy policies apply to the information they handle during checkout and fulfillment.

If you use the "Notify me when available" option, we store only your email address so we can tell you when ordering opens. You can ask to be removed from that list at any time.

Forms You Choose to Submit

When you send us a message through the contact form, or join a waitlist or mailing list, we store the details you enter, such as your name, email address, organization, and message. We use them to reply to you and to send only what you asked for.

How We Use Information

Any information you provide is used for one or more of the following purposes:

  • to deliver the educational content you selected
  • to provide account access and optional advanced features
  • to respond to inquiries and process supporter store orders
  • to maintain the security and reliability of the platform
  • to improve Warily based on anonymous usage patterns

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for unrelated purposes.

Warily may direct you to trusted third-party resources such as government agencies, reporting centres, financial institutions, or cybersecurity tools.

When you follow these links:

  • their privacy policies apply
  • we do not receive information about your activity on those sites
  • we do not have data-sharing relationships with those organizations

Your Rights Under PIPEDA

You have the right to:

  • request access to any personal information you have provided
  • ask for corrections if information is inaccurate
  • inquire about how your information has been used
  • ask us to delete your account or remove you from a mailing list

Browsing data stays on your device, so you keep direct control over it. For anything you send us or create through an account, contact us and we will act on your request.

Safeguards

For any personal information you choose to provide (e.g., for advanced features), we use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect it from unauthorized access or misuse.

Anonymous analytics data is stored in aggregated form only.
